Intermediate-frequency induction furnaces utilize an intermediate-frequency power source to generate an intermediate-frequency magnetic field. This field induces eddy currents within ferromagnetic materials, generating heat internally and thereby achieving the objective of heating the material. The medium-frequency heating furnace utilizes a 50–100 Hz medium-frequency power supply for induction heating, as well as for melting and thermal holding applications. These medium-frequency electric furnaces are primarily used for melting carbon steel, alloy steel, and special steels; they can also be employed for the melting and temperature elevation of non-ferrous metals such as copper and aluminum. Operating conditions require an altitude not exceeding 3,000 meters; an ambient temperature range of 3°C to 40°C (anti-freezing measures must be implemented in regions where temperatures drop below 0°C); a monthly average relative humidity in the operating area not exceeding 90%; and an environment free from conductive dust, explosive gases, or corrosive gases capable of severely damaging metal components or insulation.
