The combustion of natural gas generally proceeds through three stages: the mixing of the gas and air; the heating and ignition of the gas mixture; and the combustion of the mixture. The condition for flame stability is that the flame propagation velocity and the flow velocity of the combustible gas mixture are equal in magnitude but opposite in direction. Stable Combustion: The mixing velocity of the gas and air exceeds the flame propagation velocity, causing the flame to lift off from the burner nozzle. Flashback: The mixing velocity of the gas and air is lower than the flame propagation velocity, causing the flame to propagate back into the interior of the burner nozzle.

Stable Combustion: When the mixing velocity of the fuel gas and air exceeds the flame propagation velocity, the flame lifts off from the burner nozzle. Burner Flashback: When the mixing velocity of the fuel gas and air is lower than the flame propagation velocity, the flame propagates inward into the interior of the burner nozzle. Neither flame lift-off nor flashback represents an ideal combustion state for a burner; consequently, burners frequently employ a flame-stabilizing disc structure to achieve optimal performance. Advantages of Silicon Carbide High-Velocity Burners: High-velocity burners enable the fuel to undergo essentially complete combustion, even under full thermal load. The combustion chamber within the burner itself is extremely compact, allowing the fuel to burn almost entirely within this confined space; as a result, the volumetric heat release rate of the combustion chamber is exceptionally high. Furthermore, the high velocity of the combustion gas flow intensifies convective heat transfer, thereby improving the uniformity of the furnace temperature.
